Based on mine and others very personal journeys navigating the minefield and widely unknown pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder, PMDD.

Using the symbolism of a shark’s head, I visualised the overwhelming and consuming nature of PMDD, while collaborating with other PMDD’ers to capture the symptoms and animalistic character we all identified strongly with during the luteal phase of our cycles. The project is about making the invisible visible, using photography to raise awareness based on how little PMDD is known.
